Prices are per person, based on two adults sharing a room, unless shown as a total. Kristina priced these on October 1, 2026 for the dates shown, with round-trip flights from Chicago and airport transfers included. Prices change often and depend on availability when you book, so she confirms the current price before anything is booked.

Where to stay in Jamaica

Almost every flight lands at Montego Bay, so the real choice is how far you want to ride from the airport, and what you want waiting at the end of it.

  • Montego Bay

Right by Sangster International, where most flights land, so the shortest transfers and the widest choice of resorts.

  • Negril

West of the airport, about an hour and a half by road: Seven Mile Beach, the cliffs of the West End, and the most laid-back pace on the island.

  • Ocho Rios

East along the north coast, about an hour and a half by road, close to Dunn’s River Falls. A good base if you want excursions as well as beach.

Why plan Jamaica with Kristina

  • Not tied to one brand

The big all-inclusive brands are the names everyone knows. Kristina isn’t tied to any one of them, so she can put them side by side with resorts that may suit you better, and she is paid either way.

  • Packages from the big operators

She is ALGV PRO certified with Apple Vacations and Funjet, two of the package companies that sell Jamaica trips, and she compares across them for you.

  • Free, and on your side mid-trip

Planning costs you nothing. “Kristina stayed in touch during the trip and checked on us,” says Sergey, a client from Puerto Vallarta.

Jamaica questions, answered

Is it cheaper to book an all-inclusive through a travel agent?

Usually not more expensive, and planning with Kristina is free: the resorts and tour operators pay her. In her experience you pay the same package price as booking it yourself, and often less, because she compares packages across travel companies.

Should we book Sandals or Couples direct, or through an agent?

The resort is the same either way. Planning with Kristina is free, and she can put the brand you have in mind side by side with other resorts that might fit you better. She is paid either way, so her recommendation is about your trip.

Is all-inclusive worth it in Jamaica?

It depends how much you plan to leave the resort. Many visitors choose all-inclusive because the resort areas are spread out and it keeps costs predictable. If you plan to eat out and explore most days, a hotel with breakfast can make more sense, and Kristina can price both.

Montego Bay, Negril or Ocho Rios: which is for us?

Montego Bay has the shortest transfers and the most choice, Negril the long beach and the slowest pace, Ocho Rios the waterfalls and excursions. The area guide above has the detail.

How much does an all-inclusive trip to Jamaica cost?

Most of the trips Kristina books come in under $5,000 per booking. The price moves with the season, the resort and your flights from home, so she prices real options for your dates rather than quoting a guess.

When is the worst time to go to Jamaica?

There is no bad month, only trade-offs. The Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, with most storms from August to October. December to April is the driest and busiest stretch, so it also costs the most. Check the U.S. State Department’s current Jamaica travel advisory before you book, too.
